The five-day international congress, delivered annually for the World Muscle Society (WMS), brings together over 800 attendees from all across the world to advance and disseminate knowledge in the neuromuscular field.

The OD&V team has supported colleague and fellow ABPCO member, Azura Events Ltd, with the delivery of the 2015 and 2017 Congresses, by providing on-site staffing and expertise for elements such as management of registration & information desk, overseeing on-site sponsor and exhibition requirements and co-ordination of speakers, volunteer staff and networking events.

This successful partnership has meant continued collaboration ahead of the 2020 Congress resulting in the involvement of the OD&V team from the early stages of planning, taking on the role of registration management and overseeing delegate, invited speaker, sponsor and exhibitor communications in relation to registration. Through this role, and in addition to the management of enquiries, the OD&V team are involved in aspects such as financial updates and income reconciliation, committee meetings and communication, accommodation booking, the abstract submission process, ongoing updates of website and registration system. The partnership will further extend to support for transition to a potential virtual event in 2020 due to COVID-19.

Such a collaboration between independent PCO agencies, is the perfect opportunity for both companies to expand resources and share in our mutual expertise while providing a strong and resilient service to our clients. The successful collaboration is based on the sharing of similar values and work ethic and it is planned to continue for future large events.
